Agents/brokers and appraisers all work on the same transactions but each party has their own role. Both the buyers and sellers expect their representatives (agents or brokers) to assist them in selling or buying their home in their best interests. On the other hand, the appraiser is hired by the buyer’s lender to value the property that will be used as an asset in the process. Often, these parties become mired in conflicts.
