About
My real estate journey started in Huntsville, TX. My mom grew up an island girl in Key West, FL, and my dad was raised on a hog farm in a tiny central Texas town. They raised us out in a 2-story cedar house on 13 acres in the East Texas pine forest without TV (gasp). I played and built on every square inch of those woods by the time I left for college. The roots my 3 siblings and I put down in that house and on that land shaped us. There was a magic to it—a sense of connection to both people and place.
Everywhere I’ve lived since then, I worked to cultivate that same sense of stability, wonder, and joy—whether it was an apartment I shared with friends in college at The University of Texas at Dallas or the home my wife and I have built in Argyle. I feel an invigorating sense of adventure and challenge when I am out searching for some land to develop or a house to turn into a home. It never gets old, and it’s why I became a real estate agent. I absolutely love it.Everywhere I’ve lived since then, I worked to cultivate that same sense of stability, wonder, and joy. I lived a few different lives before this one, driven by a constant desire to learn and challenge myself. After graduating from college with a Chemistry degree, I married my lovely wife, Brittany, whom I met in a Christian ministry at UTD. I worked for a couple years at Samsung making computer chips for Apple down in Austin, and then we followed a passion of ours to Nashville to pursue a music career. Let me tell you some stories about that sometime. The music industry was QUITE the experience. We moved back to Denton County to be closer to family and now have two sweet girls of our own. After I satisfied my inner artist in Nashville, the nerd in me wanted some attention, so I taught myself how to code and spent 10 years in a one-of-a-kind role in the app industry on a 3-person team that generated over $110,000,000 in net income/net sale proceeds from capital assets. The last 4 of those were at a company that I co-founded and served at as the CTO.
I draw from every single one of those experiences in my work as a Real Estate Agent. Everything I do is people-centered and data-informed. I bridge the gap between contracts, project management, finances, feelings, relationships, and business. People that have worked with me tell me I’m organized, effective, and an outstanding communicator. I’ve spent over 600 hours and tens of thousands of dollars on personal, relational, and professional development. I negotiate assertively and kindly. I’m flexible and creative. I leverage technology to make everything easier and more enjoyable. If I had a superpower, it would be learning. I work hard like I was raised, but the best part is that I get to play at work.
Give me a call. Let’s share some stories and find your place.
