In almost every transaction agents/brokers and appraisers must work on the same transactions. Although many think that the terms CMAs and Appraisals are interchangeable, they are actually quite different. These professionals need to be able to explain to consumers about each of their roles. Both the buyers and sellers expect their representatives (agents or brokers) to assist them in selling or buying their home in their best interests. On the other hand, the appraiser is hired by the buyer’s lender to value the property that will be used as an asset in the process. This class will examine expectations for both sides while helping everyone understand how all of the pieces fit together. The desired result is to make the consumer’s transaction proceed in a professional manner.
