We need a consistent way to calculate and communicate the living area of a house, from one real estate pro to another. That’s what ANSI is for. In this course, we’ll review how to measure and calculate of finished living area based on the ANSI® Measurement Standard. We’ll also take a detailed look at the ANSI® 2021 Update and the seven changes to the standard. Students will complete practical exercises, review examples of calculating finished living space, and discuss the proper disclosures required by the ANSI® standard. This course provides the nuts and bolts of measuring residential square footage using the 2021 edition of the ANSI® Measurement Standard.
